Privacy Policy & Security Charter
Last Updated: June 9, 2026. This policy outlines how camX collects, protects, and handles your data across our portals, custom builders, and on-site engineering services.
Privacy Overview
At camX (accessible from camx.in), one of our primary core mandates is the absolute privacy and security of our clients. This document details how we handle information submitted via our online store, AI custom builder, and technician tracking portal. By using our website and scheduling installations, you consent to the terms described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal and technical information to provide Agra's most reliable surveillance installation services. This includes:
- Identifiable Information: Name, billing address, site installation address, phone number (used for WhatsApp notifications/calls), and email address.
- System Configurations: System blueprints, device listings, custom packages built using our AI custom builder, and camera counts.
- Technician Operations: Verification records when you query a technician's identity card on our platform.
- Automatic Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and site behavior analytics via cookies.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is strictly utilized to facilitate secure engineering operations. We use it to:
- Schedule and coordinate free on-site surveys and physical cabling installations in Agra.
- Process online orders for CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and power supplies via our Component Store.
- Maintain and monitor Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) to ensure 365-day security uptime.
- Verify technician credentials prior to site visits for your domestic or commercial safety.
- Deliver automated alert setups, invoices, and VIP care support notifications.
3. Security & Cloud Protection
As a security enterprise, data integrity is our highest priority. We implement robust safety protocols:
- Encrypted Storage: All customer addresses and contact logs are stored in secure Firebase databases with restricted access rules.
- Configuration Privacy: Your camera layout blueprints, IP channels, and password details are never stored online or shared with third parties.
- Physical Security: Access to database administration is protected by multi-factor authentication (MFA) and restricted to the founder's office.
4. Third-Party Sharing Policies
We enforce a zero-tolerance policy against selling user data. Your information is shared only under strict operational conditions:
- Verified Technicians: The technician assigned to your installation receives your address and contact details exclusively for the visit.
- Logistics Partners: Delivery partners receive your shipping address to deliver components ordered from our store.
- Legal Mandate: Data may be shared only if required by Indian federal law or state law enforcement authorities under official warrant.
5. Your Rights & Choice Controls
You retain full control over your personal information. You can contact us to:
- Request a copy of the database records containing your home address and system purchase history.
- Correct or update your phone number, email address, or billing details.
- Request the complete deletion of your customer profile from our databases (Right to be Forgotten).
- Opt out of automated marketing emails or promotional WhatsApp updates.
A Note On CCTV Password Security
We highly recommend changing the default master password on your DVR or NVR immediately after our engineer completes the configuration. **camX does not store camera streaming passwords online**; keeping your password secure is your sole responsibility.
